• Access to the University’s £1.3m SmartZone, which features cutting edge lasers, a 3D printing bureau and a VR lab. It’s where people can create prototypes of their ideas.

• The Stafford campus is home to the £5.8 million Centre for Health Innovation. Features include one of the world’s largest immersive education suites, where virtual reality backdrops are projected from floor to ceiling. It means students can be placed at the scene of a road accident or even inside A&E. 

• More than £80 million has been invested in new facilities for students. This includes The Catalyst building, which combines flexible spaces for teaching and collaborative learning with the latest digital technology.  

• £2.2 million has been invested in 12 new simulation spaces on the Stoke-on-Trent campus, where students can practise their skills in realistic environments. These include crime scene areas and courtrooms, living spaces, and a hospital ward, shop, office, custody suite and prison cell.
