Academy Uniform

We are delighted to have launched our new academy uniform back in September 2020. Our new uniform marking a new era for the academy. The uniform was decided upon by our students through an extensive student voice consultation.

Important notes:

• Plain black shoes means no Vans, Nike trainers or any other brand of black trainer. Branded footwear is not acceptable if it has a sports brand such as Nike or Adidas. School footwear should be as illustrated on our uniform poster above. If there are any doubts at all please contact the academy before purchasing footwear – students will be challenged if they have footwear that does not conform to our uniform policy. *We can support families in purchasing appropriate footwear
• Boots such as Dr Martins should not be worn around the academy, students can wear boots to and from the academy if the weather is bad, however, a plain black shoe is expected during the usual academy day
• All academy uniform and P.E. kits should be named to avoid being lost
• One or two small sets of studs in each ear, a watch and one ring may be worn
• clear nose studs are permitted
• Hair styles should be conservative. For example students are not allowed patterns razored into their hair and are not allowed to have their hair dyed in bright or unnatural colours

If any student is not in correct full academy uniform they will:

• Be sent home to change if we are able to contact a parent / carer or;
• Be able to borrow spare school uniform from the academy or;
• Be placed in tutor isolation until their uniform is correct
