Every SGO Area has a Leadership Academy. The purpose of these academies is to train, support and deploy young people to support local School Games activities. Your local SGO will offer the opportunity to get involved to schools as they look to develop and maintain their academy. These academies will offer young people the opportunity to develop the skills they would require to coach, officiate, or otherwise volunteer in a larger scale event.

Staffordshire University Academy Cricket Leaders

Well done to the 7 Year 7 leaders from Staffordshire University Academy who umpired at the primary school Year 5/6 ‘School Games’ event on Tuesday. Seven teams took part from the Cannock & Rugeley area and they were expertly umpired by the leaders from Staffordshire University Academy. Congratulations to St Mary’s who won the event and massive well done to all the 60 children who took part.
