We would like to welcome you to ‘Team SUA’. Over the next few months Mrs Jones, Director of Personal Development, Mr Porter, Head of Key Stage 3 and the transition team will be liaising with Year 6 teachers and primary schools to discuss key information about each future SUA student that will help us to ensure your child feels happy and safe at SUA. There are planned transition days on Wednesday 22nd June 2022 and Thursday 23rd June 2022 when all Year 6 students will visit their new secondary school. Prior to these, on Monday 20th June 2022 we will be holding a Parents’ Evening where you will get a chance to meet some key members of staff, including your child’s new tutor and Head of Key Stage. There will be lots of information in the transition pack that you will receive and, of course, all of the key information is also on our website, social media channels and will be shared with primary schools. Throughout June and July, we will also schedule drop in sessions at all feeder primary schools for us to meet all students and explain the transition process. We will provide more details in due course.
