COVID-19 Daily Bulletin 5

20th March 2020

Re: COVID-19 Daily Bulletin – Friday (pm)

Dear Parents/Carers,

Every student who attended the academy today has been sent home with a large pack of work to complete and a workbook in which to complete these various tasks. Our message has been clear and consistent to all of our students: this is not a holiday and a regular routine will be important for them through the weeks to come. It is essential students do not put themselves at a disadvantage and fall behind with their school work. Even Year 11 and 13 leavers have been advised to complete the work, keep their minds active and keep themselves being best prepared for the next steps of their education. Any students who were unable to attend today will receive their packs at the start of next week. Until then please utilise the knowledge organisers on our website.

It has been an upsetting day for a great many of our students, this has been completely understandable, but we have reassured each and every student that we are here for them as support at the end of an email or the telephone during the regular working day. The best form of communicating is by emailing queries or questions to info@suacademy.co.uk These emails will be redirected to the colleague who can best assist with any query.

We will also keep families updated as we work through these unprecedented times. The best way to receive updates will be by: following us on Twitter; ensuring we have your correct email address or keeping a regular eye on our website. We will push notifications of such updates out through our School Comms app, emails and text messages to families.

Thank you so much for all of your overwhelming support through these challenging days. Everyone here at Team SUA wishes all of our community all the very best as we navigate through the coming months. Please look after yourselves and loved ones.

Yours sincerely

R. Hillier

Principal
