Following another Team SUA fundraising extravaganza I wanted to share our success with you all! Our current total for Comic Relief from Friday stands at £1078 – truly amazing. This follows our previous fundraising successes this academic year of: £470 for the sixth form’s Macmillan Coffee Morning; £860 raised for Children in Need and £430 raised for Save the Children when we wore our Christmas jumpers in December. An in-year total of £2,838 so far!
A massive well done to every member of our team and a big thank you to our families for your support. We hope to see as many parents as possible at our Parents’ Forum meeting this Thursday 21st March 6-7pm.
Welcome to Staffordshire University Academy, where we embrace all students and encourage them to aspire, believe and achieve. We are both students who have come through the main academy and we are excited to be a part of the school’s improvement. Our daily experiences demonstrate the improvements made as the senior leadership team work alongside staff, students and our community to continually develop the academy for those within it.
The academy provides many fantastic experiences for all of its pupils. From the masterclasses at local universities offered by leading academics to sixth form students, through to a residential for year 7 students developing their life skills away from home. We also have a fantastic work experience programme for year 10 and a bespoke NCS programme for our year 11 students.
We also offer a wide range of qualifications. There are both BTECs, GCSEs and V Certs on offer for Year 11, and A Levels and Applied generals available for Sixth Form. The support for students from teachers and staff is the best it has ever been, allowing us to boost our grades and go on to higher education.
It is our opinion that our academy is on course to be the best in our area. By providing the opportunities, environment and enrichment to allow students to go on and achieve their best. We would invite anyone to come and visit the academy to see the excellent work going on to allow students to reach their potential.
