Staffordshire University Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Student Support Assistant to join the academy Progress Centre.

We have access to high quality facilities and resources and work within a strong team structure that allows best practice to be shared. The successful candidate will join a team of friendly and supportive colleagues who want to achieve the very best outcomes for our students.

The successful candidate will work with small groups of students or on a one to one basis, to help them to achieve their potential and be successful both inside and outside school by providing support to overcome barriers to learning. Catering Assistant

Grade 1 / scale point 6 (£8.50 per hour)

15 Hours per week / 39 working weeks

we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to join the team. We are an 11-19 academy who take pride in our in house catering service, providing our students and staff with quality meals and a friendly service.

Successful applicants should have previous experience working in the food industry, preferably in an environment with children. A current level two hygiene certificate is desirable but can be renewed with the academy prior to appointment. Knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen is essential as an integral part of catering operations.

Student Support Assistant Apprentice - Working as an apprentice Teaching Assistant you’ll provide support to teachers in preparing for lessons and helping create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all pupils. During lessons, you’ll work together with the class teacher to support pupils with classroom activities and help to manage behaviour.  Excellent communication and enthusiasm will be key in supporting all pupils to progress, achieve and overcome any problems. You will support all areas of the curriculum including literacy, numeracy and ICT within the classroom. You’ll also accompany teaching staff and pupils on trips and other out-of-school activities
