March 2018 - The Child Health and Wellbeing Programme (0-19 years) is an integrated service provided by Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust and brings together health visiting and school nursing. In 2020 the service will expand to include Children's Centres. Click here for more infomration.

December 2017 - A child of mine is working with local partners to provide regular coffee mornings for anyone affected by the death of a baby or a child of any age.  These will provide a safe and friendly environment, together with a listeing ear,  where you can meet others who understand.  Please see further details, meeting venues and dates here

November 2017 -  A creative project is taking place at the museum of Cannock Chase called Emerge.  The project will be running until April 2018 and gives young people the opportunity to curate their own festival around the work of Shakespeare in a very fun and creative way. The project is all encompassing and can include drama, poetry, music, film, dance.  It really is a blank canvas and completely up to the young people involved.  Sessions are free and take place every Tuesday evening from 7-9PM at the Museum of Cannock Chase.  The project is being led by a very experienced creative called Josh Hawkins and co delivered by local theatre company 'Fired Up'.  Find out more and how to get involved here

September 2017 - Fairbridge Programme - Are you 16-25? Want to gain new skills and get motivated? - The Prince’s Trust in partnership with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is offering a free part-time, six week programme in the RUGELEY area.  Click here for more infomration.

The Chase View Support Centre

Staffordshire University Academy officially launched the Chase View Support Centre on Friday 10th March 2017. The CVSC operates in conjunction with the community and external agencies to support the academy's students, their families and the local community. Dementia Friends and the Dementia Friends Latest Newsletter

In support of the Dementia Friends' links to fight against dementia with Alzheimer's Society, please click here to watch their latest video advert.

The Chase View Support Centre supports Chase Fit and their Walking in Water sessions at Chase Leisure Centre. The session is aimed at people with mobility and joint problems. You do not need to be able to swim to attend the session, as the pool has a moveable floor which is set to the correct height to ensure that particpants will be able to touch the floor at all times. Chase Community Partnership

The Council has launched an official website for the Chase Community Partnership which can be used by both partners and local residents. The special website not only provides visitors with information about the Partnership, but is also a way of showcasing successful initiatives that are being delivered in the District. The website will be the main communication resource for all partnership activity and will act as a central hub of information.
 
Use of the website will help local residents and partners understand the Partnership and the ambitions of the Local Partnership Plan. It is hoped by showcasing the activity of the Partnership; it will instil community confidence and improve public perception amongst those living in Cannock Chase District.

Co-op Fundraising
The Co-op are currently fundraising for their local communities and already the fund is at £817. We would like you to support their cause! If you are a Co-op member and buy at Huntington or Rugeley, you can vote for your preferred cause with a plastic counter which will be provided for you upon each time you make a purchase. If you are not a member this is easy to do if you visit a local store! The Co-op would like to increase the £817 to a fantastic £10,000!
